MEETING INFORMATION Meetings are held at M.I.T. Bldg.# 4, Room 231 at 77 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA. They are held on the second Monday of every month. There is no meeting in August. This web site will contain the latest Meeting Information. Contact IANE for further info. Regular IANE Meetings start at 7 PM and run to approx. 9:30 PM. You should plan to arrive at 6:30 PM for pre-meeting networking. Networking also continues after the regular meeting. Membership is currently at $40/year and includes a monthly newsletter and other member benefits. Guests and nonmembers are welcome at all of our monthly meetings. A suggested $5 contribution is graciously accepted at the door to partially defray operating costs of our not-for- profit organization which is run entirely by volunteers. COMING ATTRACTIONS Below are IANE regular meeting dates for 2010: Mark your calendars: all are second Monday of each month at 7 PM at MIT. : September 13; October 12; November 8 and December 13. No meeting in August.

September 13, 2010: The featured speaker will be Gus Bigos of Evergreen Innovation Partners. He will talk about the progress Evergreen IP has made in helping inventors bring their products to market. Also, Evergreen IP recently entered into an agreement with Clorox, under which they solicit, screen, and present new product concepts for Clorox under a standard licensing deal. Gus will explain what Clorox is looking for and how the standard licensing deal works.

Under the new, standardized Clorox license agreement, Clorox pays the inventor a pre-defined royalty rate, depending on the development status of the invention and the deal includes minimum annual royalties, to avoid lengthy development and launch delays.

UPCOMING IANE SPECIAL EVENTS IANE MEMBER BENEFIT: THE INVENTORS CLINIC At the Inventors Clinic, where inventors help inventors, ideas can be discussed and critiqued under confidentiality. Member presenters are allotted up to one half hour to discuss their invention idea. There are typically five presentations per meeting. For each presentation a separate confidentiality document is signed by all in attendance which additionally gives ownership to the presenter of any ideas generated at the meeting or as a result of it. Participants at the Inventors Clinic - whether presenting or listening - are urged to read the guidelines at www.iane.transitionstates.com.
